Kalottspedition - Full Service Haulage and Forwarding Kalottspedition is a Finnish, privately owned haulage and forwarding company specialising in international haulage by lorry. Our operations are based on the fullservice principle, with fifteen operators and some fifty lorries making up our current basic capacity. Our haulage capacity can be easily and flexibly increased (or even doubled), according to demand, through co-operation with our trade partners. Our size provides us with the ability to manage our customers´ jobs through a small efficient organisation, in which our professional staff deals with everything from the whole picture down to the tiniest detail. Unshakeable Professionalism Kalottspedition has 40 years of road haulage experience behind it, starting out by operating between Finland and Norway. Still today Kalottspedition operates on routes which others would rather avoid. The darkness, the cold and the often treacherous roads up in the north subject both vehicle and driver to the toughest demands. Such conditions call for solid professionalism. Our lorries run as safely and reliably north through Lapland to the Kalott region as they do south to the Continent. Kalottspedition has invested in a highly skilled workforce and a reliable fleet, which is why we can almost guarantee that deliveries arrive on schedule, regardless of the weather conditions and state of the roads. Regular Routes Kalottspedition is today able to offer a compelete transport system to northern Scandinavia. We run continous direct routes to and from northern Norway, with around dozen departures a week, with a similar service maintained in southern Norway and Sweden. Denmark, central and northern Europe are also served every week by over ten regular departures. The Perfect Vehicle for every Job Kalotspedition has at its disposal the equipment for most types of shipment. The backbone of our fleet is made up of FRC certified combis, whether they be thermotrailers for European routes or 18 or 22 metre articulated truck-and trailer combinations. The lorries have been designed to provide our customers with the most economical solutions to their transport needs as possible. We can offer for example open-sized trailers for handling long goods, horizontal dividers for fragile loads and high-sized options offering an internal headroom of up to 2,8 metres for bulky loads. Besides FRC-combinations, we can also offer covered trailer and standard lorry varieties of various design. With this fleet we can carry out most haulage jobs available on the market. The consigment, which could be anything from complete motocars to general mixed cargo, is transported from the suppliers direct to the consignee. We can also offer depot services through our agents at the place of destination. Every one of our deliveries is carried out by single driver, from the loading process to the unloading.
